IMPORTANT: The following photos are examples of a few of the species we treat; however, the wood is submitted to us by our clients. SaferWood does not produce a finished FRTW product with the exception of WRC STK per image below (bundles with end caps). LISTED SPECIES

All species listed on our 3rd-party lab reports [ICC and QAI) found in our technical library and pictured below are code compliant Exterior FRTW Extended 30-Minute Class A Ignition Resistant for use in all Fire Hazard Severity Zones and WUI areas.

NON-LISTED SPECIES

Certificate of Treatment is available for non-listed (not found on ESR-1159) species and widely accepted by local [AHJ] Authorities Having Jurisdiction due to our reputation and accompanying ICC and QAI reports.

R&D TREATABILITY PROGRAM

Trial testing of non-listed and/or European and African species is available. SaferWood FRTW is also available for select Thermally Modified North American hardwoods, Reclaimed Woods, and Yakisugi aka Shou Sugi Ban softwoods. FIRE RETARDANT TREATMENT

SaferWood with Thermex-FR provides Extended Class A performance per ASTM E2768 aka “30-minute E84 test” after ASTM D2898 Accelerated Weathering. The result is Ignition Resistant FRTW with a Flame Spread Index less than 25 and Smoke Development Index less than 45 on listed species, exceeding Cal-Fire 12-7A requirements and compliant with the International WUI Code (IWUIC).
